You are bidding on a new DVD from vintagefilmarsenal . (VFA Copyright 2006-2023 All Rights
Reserved) "552nd Ord. Heavy Maint. Co." 1944-1945 Home Movies following a small Heavy Ordnance tank repair company
across WWII Europe shortly after D-Day -- through France,
Luxembourg, and on into Germany. You'll see truckloads of soldiers moving out of camp and views of bombed out French towns as they drive through. Travel along with the
men inside an M-25 "Dragon Wagon" articulated tank transporter, and visit the 552nd's repair shop in Verdun -- an old hangar riddled
with bullet holes. Inside you'll see men working on tanks and other heavy equipment, men working at a small foundry, and a jeep from
the 10th Gp. Ordnance Patrol driving around. There are stops in towns along the way, with street scenes of citizens and soldiers, and views of the countryside. The men take time
to look over old WWI artillery relics near Metz, and there's a brief view of German POWs lining up for chow in a small fenced area. Later you'll see the 552nd's new repair shop in Rodange, Luxembourg, where the guys test drive a Sherman tank, and then follow
them as they move through the Alps into Germany. Other interesting sights include Soldier's Field swimming pool, a ride in an Amtrac, piles of destroyed Nazi aircraft, remains of
burned out train cars with munitions laying in piles, and more. The DVD has a soundtrack of WWII era radio shows. Running Time: 47 minutes SHIPPING: $3.95 for s/h in the US.
