Volvo 240 Gauge Cluster K9800 1988 Wagon (drop-in On 1986-1988 Wagons

We are selling a very nice working 240 instrument cluster removed from a 1988 240 DL WAGON. This is a very hard cluster to find in clean working condition. It has the "Service Reminder System" for oil changes, and the reset is on the Rear of the cluster. We have road tested this cluster after cleaning and replacement of non-satisfactory parts, and it is ready to go into your WAGON. The speedometer and odometer work correctly, and the trip reset knob is new. We recently had our Electronic Engineer re-check & repair any faults found. The odometer drive sprocket is new, and the temperature compensation board has been cleaned and checked.  The fuel  and temperature gauges work just right. The clock keeps correct time. All the dash warning lamps are working, and we have replaced both of the illumination bulbs with new German Made White Dot ones. All four mounting ears are solid with no repairs needed.  The gauge faces on this and other 1988 and older 240 clusters have the "Satin or semi-gloss" finish.  The photos are of the exact cluster. The speedometer number is K9800, and the odometer shows 166,024 miles. This cluster will also work in 1986-1987 WAGONS without any changes, and they will gain the service due reminder seen in 1988 on 240's. We will reset the odometer to your requested reading. It is very important that the RED-WHITE Tachometer lead which is near the cluster wiring NOT be connected to this cluster. It will burn out the odometer drive board,and no warranty consideration will be available if this is done. In the last photo the double metal pin is only used for the ORANGE wire for cruise control in 1986-1989,and for the BLUE wire on manual transmission cars from 1986-1988 to run the upshift arrow. The RED-WHITE TACHOMETER LEAD MUST NOT BE ATTACHED HERE !!
