Letting form follow function, the result was the impressive new aerodynamically designed Taurus Wagon. Its orthopedically designed seats comfortably accommodate six passengers-or eight with the optional rear facing third seat. For versatility, the rear seat (second seat) is a “60/40 split-fold” version, providing seating for two while allowing a portion of the seat to be lowered to accom- modate long cargo such as skis. A high-strength plastic luggage rack with adjustable, integral flip-up cargo tie-downs is standard. And the Taurus Wagon incorporates Ford's unique two-way tailgate, with an independently opening window.
